Cartofaro represents a major reality of Piceno’s agriculture and farming. The firm belief in the goodness of their own choices sets Cartofaro in competition with the conventional agriculture. The farm was established in 1924, when Adamo Castelli purchased a land near an ancient tenement called Cartofaro, in the area of Campolungo, Ascoli Piceno. From the beginning, olive and vine accounted for the bulk of production and still remain a great pride for the company, which is still a family business. The spirit remained unchanged and the decision to grow organically allows to invest on the agronomic expertise available for the company.
