Dino Zoli’s farm is named after an area of molasses sand found in the nearest hills bordering the Via Emilia between Faenza and Forlì . Here, on 22nd June 1987, a disarticulated but complete skull, from a warm climate mammoth (Mammuthus Meridionalis) was unearthed, which is currently being exhibited at the Museo Civico delle Scienze Naturali in Faenza. The company brand indeed brings to mind this exceptional finding, which emerged from the sand together with thousands of small shells and fossils of small sea animals. The farm is part of the Fondazione Dino Zoli, a project founded to promote Italian art in Italy and worldwide.
